Kinbaku Studio Bern

My name is Sergey. I work with body, rope and emotions.

My first encounter with rope bondage was around 1999 as some experiments with a girlfriend, who tied me. It was great fun and I realised then, I wanted to tie actively as a rigger too! However, it took years before I was able to begin.

In the summer of 2015 I started a continuous shibari practice together with my wife, learning from Markus aka Ibinuphis, an Osada-ryu instructor and a co-founder of the rope space Secret56 in Switzerland. My wife is my adorable life partner and my best rope partner since then. And I continue to learn from the same highly esteemed teacher.

In 2018 I had the chance to meet for the first time the Tokyo kinbaku grandmaster Osada Steve who visited Switzerland during his European trip. I was totally fascinated by his way of creating a non-verbal dialogue with a partner in a rope session. Then luckily, at the beginning of 2019 I started my way as an Osada-ryu student in the newly christened Osada-ryu Swiss dojo Secret56.

Osada-ryu means the school of Osada — its multifaceted emotional approach to shibari influences me the most. I'm always open to enriching my knowledge from various sources though. I take the opportunity to learn from other rope masters and continue to study.

In 2021 I opened my kinbaku studio in Bern. It's the place where I continue my practice and give shibari tuition.

In autumn 2024 I also started a new regular social & educational shibari event in Biel/Bienne called House of Flying Ropes.

Everything you see here was done by mutual consent, it was a pleasant experience for both of us, even if some scenes may look extreme. Please don't do it, if you're not familiar with the necessary techniques and, most importantly, consensual play and reliable communication!
