Shibari Workshop Introduction to Suspension
You start your way from the floor into the air by learning a two-rope takate-kote (also known as box tie) suitable for suspension. It is not as simple as it looks like. You’ll learn/recap about shoulders and nerve safety and will go through a lot of practical exercises, each time learning from the inevitable mistakes, so that it gets better and better progressively.
Then you will learn how to build a safe suspension line on a ring and on a bamboo. You will also get some useful training routine to practice at home regularly, even without a partner!
You get familiar with these two ingredients during the workshop and at the end we'll try a semi-suspension, depending on the individual situation of each couple.
This course is suitable for people who have initial experience with shibari.
You need to know shibari basics: safety aspects, rope handling. Active partner should be able to tie hands using single or double column tie. Experience with the floor ties is a big plus.

This workshop is for couples. Max. 5 couples. If less than 3 have registered, the workshop may be cancelled.
Language: English and German — mixed or one of the languages, depending on the group.
Role switching is not recommended for education quality reasons.
Bring 5-7 standard 7-8-meter-long shibari ropes. You can buy the ropes at my studio — 25 CHF per piece of the high-quality jute rope.
